With up to 10% more energy capture in real world conditions, solar power plants using Cat thin film PVT photovoltaic panels are one of the most efficient solar panels, providing better solar energy yield time after time.

With a lower temperature coefficient than silicon PV panels, Cat thin film photovoltaic modules produce more power as the module operating temperature increases. Over a year in hot climate conditions, solar installation adds up to 3% more annual energy yield versus a silicon solar panel.

Different photovoltaic technologies respond differently to varying light wavelengths. On humid days, water in the atmosphere reduces specific wavelengths of available light. Cat PV panels are less sensitive to high humidity and can produce up to 6% more energy annually than silicon panels in humid environments.

The unique design of PV solar panels minimises power loss due to shading. Unlike silicon modules which can lose disproportionately more power in the shaded area, Cat PV panels are only impacted by the shaded portion. This results in up to 1% more energy annually
