Water is a fundamental human need that is unfortunately not readily available to all. It has been reported that one-third of the Earth’s population lives in water stressed countries. In our efforts to continue being good corporate citizens, our Ghana branch extended a gesture of support by aiding the Chiefs and people of the BiakaKrom Ewusijoe community in Takoradi, Ghana with the construction of a borehole.

At a short ceremony on Nov. 29, 2019 organized by Mantrac Ghana, chiefs and elders of the community were presented with the project by Andy Sarson, the Takoradi CRC Service Manager.

“Potable water is important for the socio-economic development of this community and for this amenity to be a continued success we must try to maintain it correctly,” said Sarson during the event.

Limited access to safe drinking water continues to be a public health challenge and through this initiative Mantrac Ghana hopes to positively enact change by supporting the BiakaKrom Ewusijoe community.

Chief Nana Asabre III shared his excitement and appreciation. On behalf of the community he promised that the project will be well maintained and reiterated that this kind gesture will go a long way towards positively impacting the health of the people in the surrounding area.
